Set on a working farm, our luxurious chalets are private sanctuaries overlooking the lush crater lakes of Mwamba, Nyinambuga and Kifuruka, with the majestic Rwenzori Mountain ranges in the background. Designed to blend refined comfort with countryside tranquility, each chalet features handcrafted furnishings, natural textures, and expansive windows that frame the surrounding greenery and lakes.
Step onto your private veranda to greet the soft morning mist, sweeping mountain views, and the melodies of birds among the flourishing flora. Whether unwinding after a day of chimpanzee tracking or watching the sunset over the crater lakes, the chalets offer a peaceful retreat immersed in nature and quiet comfort.
At Rukwanzi, we take feeding seriously, offering the freshest, nutritious and healthiest meals. We or the community around us grow most of the food we serve. We discourage ultra-processed food on our menu, putting emphasis on warm and moist meals, while making the most delicious meals and beverages.
Coffee lovers are treated to coffee grown on our farm. We are privileged to be able to grow both coffees that thrive in Uganda on our farm, that is, Arabica and Robusta. Arabica which grows well in altitudes of 1300 meters and above thrives well on our farm which is between 1300-1650 meters above sea level. So you get to enjoy single source Arabica, single source Robusta, or a blend of the two in whatever proportions you wish, from beans that were picked just outside of your chalet.
It is an herbal infusion affair at Rukwanzi for herbal tea enthusiasts! Come party to fresh effortlessly grown herbs ranging from mints, lemon grass, lemon verbena, rosemary to the turaco blue pea infusions. Our Head of Herbs, as we affectionately call him, will take you on an herbs indulgence and harvest treat where you may pick chamomile flowers or any sprigs, leaves or flowers of choice. Brew the tisane yourself or get served with the most colorful blue, yellow or green tisane pot at your favorite spot where you will sip as you marvel at the three craters that surround us, against the backdrop of the Rwenzoris.
